Onsite Respirator Fit Testing for Your Team

Bring MaskFit+ directly to your office, plant or workplace.

MaskFit+ provides onsite group testing for organizations across Southern Ontario. We support employers arranging initial fit testing, two-year recertification and testing for employees who require a different respirator.

What Is Included?

Each onsite session combines respirator fit testing with practical instruction.

Participants learn:

  • What a respirator fit test is
  • Who requires fit testing and why
  • How to inspect the respirator
  • How to properly put on and remove the respirator
  • How to perform a user seal check
  • How the fit-testing process works
  • How to care for and maintain the respirator
  • The respirator’s uses and limitations

Qualitative testing also includes a sensitivity taste test and the required physical fit-test exercises.

Following a successful test, each participant receives a MaskFit+ certification card valid for two years.

The corporate contact also receives a Mask Fit Certification Form signed by the participant and MaskFit+ instructor for the organization’s HR files.

Each one-hour group session can include up to eight participants.

One instructor can conduct up to seven sessions and test as many as 56 employees in one day. Additional instructors may run parallel sessions for larger teams.

There is no minimum group size.

The current onsite fee depends on travel distance and includes the first six participants.

Longer travel may require an additional travel fee, and discounts may be available based on confirmed participant numbers.

For longer-distance locations, MaskFit+ may recommend a larger group to help offset travel requirements.

Preparing Your Team

Participants must be clean-shaven wherever the respirator seals against the face or neck.

For at least 15 minutes before testing, participants must not:

  • Eat
  • Drink (other than water)
  • Smoke
  • Chew gum

Participants must also:

  • Bring the respirator they need tested unless another arrangement has been made
  • Complete the Qualitative Mask Fit Test Participant Form
  • Arrive at their scheduled testing time

A successful fit test cannot be guaranteed. A participant may require a different respirator model or size to achieve an effective seal.
